Summary
TB-500 is a synthetic fragment of Thymosin Beta-4, a naturally occurring 43-amino acid protein present in virtually all human and animal cells. It promotes actin polymerization and has been studied for wound healing, cardiac repair, and anti-inflammatory effects in animal models.
TB-500 comes from a protein found in almost every cell in the body that helps cells move and reorganize. It helps injured cells travel to where damage has occurred and rebuild. Unlike BPC-157, which mainly works locally near the injection site, TB-500 circulates systemically — making it useful for injuries you can't inject near directly, like deeper muscle tears or heart tissue.
Mechanism of Action↓
Binds G-actin monomers, promoting cell migration and tissue repair. Activates matrix metalloproteinases. Reduces inflammation via downregulation of inflammatory cytokines. In cardiac models promotes cardiomyocyte migration and differentiation from progenitor cells.
Half-life: ~1–4 hours (estimated from thymosin beta-4 data)
Research Dosing Ranges↓
2–2.5 mg twice weekly (loading), then 2 mg biweekly (maintenance)
Subcutaneous or intramuscular injection
Loading phase: 2–2.5 mg 2×/week for 4–6 weeks. Maintenance: 2 mg every 2 weeks.
Reconstitution Guidance↓
BAC water: 3 mL
Resulting concentration: 3.33 mg/mL (for 10 mg vial)
Typical dose: 60 units on U-100 syringe = 2 mg
Add 3 mL BAC water to 10 mg vial → 3.33 mg/mL. 2 mg dose = 600 µL = 60 units U-100. (5 mg vial + 3 mL → 1.67 mg/mL; 2 mg dose = 120 units — use 10 mg vial for easier dosing.)
Storage & Stability↓
Lyophilized: refrigerate. Reconstituted: refrigerate, use within 28 days.
Known Side Effects / Contraindications↓
Well tolerated in animal studies. Potential pro-angiogenic concerns (theoretical tumor growth promotion). Headache, fatigue reported anecdotally. No human clinical data.

Show math
Concentration: 5 mg ÷ 3 mL = 1.67 mg/mL (1667 µg/mL)
Dose needed: 2000 µg = 2.0000 mg
Volume per dose: 2.0000 mg ÷ 1.67 mg/mL = 1.2000 mL
On U-100 syringe: 1200.0 µL = 120.0 units
Total doses in vial: 5 mg ÷ 2.0000 mg = 2.5 doses
